Virtual Technologies Limited
Warranty Policy
Virtual
Technologies, Ltd. Warrants its Products against defects in
materials and workmanship. Because of the broad and custom
nature of our products, please contact your Virtual
Technologies, Ltd. sales representative for detailed information
regarding a particular product's warranty period. System software/firmware is warranted for a
period of 90 days from date on which the system goes into
service, established by proof of purchase or formal warranty
registration, and extends this warranty to all purchasers or
owners of the product during the warranty period.
Virtual Technologies does not warrant its Products from
any and all defects:
- Arising
out of material or workmanship not provide by Virtual
Technologies or its Authorized Service Centers.
- When
the product is installed or exposed to an unsuitable
environment as evidenced by generalized corrosion or
biological infestation.
- Exposure
to saltwater is particularly destructive.
Corrosion of the circuit board is not covered by
warranty.
- Resulting
from abnormal use of the product, alteration, or use in
violation of the instructions.
- In
components, parts, or Products expressly warranted by
another manufacturer.
Virtual Technologies agrees to supply all parts and
labor to repair or replace defects covered by this warranty with
parts or Products of original or improved design, at the
company’s opinion. Virtual
Technologies also reserves the right to improve the design of
its Products without obligation to modify or upgrade those
previously manufactured. Defective
Products must be returned to Virtual Technologies or its
Authorized Service Center in the original packaging or
equivalent. The
cost of transportation and insurance on items returned for
service is the responsibility of the customer.
Return transportation (UPS Ground or equivalent) as well
as insurance on all repaired items is paid by Virtual
Technologies, Ltd.
All remedies and measure of damages are limited to
the above. Virtual
Technologies, Ltd. shall in no event be liable for
consequential, incidental, contingent, or special damages, even
if Virtual Technologies, Ltd. has been advised of the
possibility of such damages.
Any and all other warranties, expressed or implied,
arising by law, course of dealing, course or performance,
merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are
limited in duration for a period of ninety (90) days from the
original date of purchase.
Some states or counties do not allow limitation on
the term or an implied warranty, or the exclusion or limitation
of incidental or consequential damage, which means the
limitations and exclusions of this warranty may not apply to
you. Even though
this warranty gives you specific legal rights, you may also have
other rights which vary from state to state.
Warranty
Products Return Policy (RMA)
Virtual
Technologies will authorize the return of a product only under the
conditions of the warranty policy.
When it is necessary to return goods to Virtual
Technologies, the purchaser must call the Virtual Technologies
Service Department (509-244-3252) for a Return Merchandise
Authorization (RMA) number. Virtual
Technologies will verify the validity of the warranty claim and
issue an RMA number to the purchaser.
Appropriate credits will be made only after receipt of the
returned product with a valid RMA number.
Before
returning any Products to Virtual Technologies the purchaser
should call the Virtual Technologies Service Department for an RMA
number. The purchaser
should have the following information BEFORE placing the call:

RMA
numbers are valid for 10 business days only.
RMA numbers must be prominently displayed on the shipping
label of all boxes containing returned goods.
Virtual Technologies expects all returned goods to be
shipped freight prepaid. Any
equipment that arrives at Virtual Technologies without the
preceding information will be returned.
If a product is sent in as defective and upon inspection
proves to be non-defective, a testing and handling fee will be
assessed and the unit will be returned.
All repaired or exchanged units under warranty will be
shipped, freight prepaid, to the purchaser.
The warranty does not cover physical damage incurred in
shipping. In such cases, the purchaser is responsible for processing
all freight claims.
All
returns are subject to a 20% restocking fee.
Products
by other manufactures that are sold through Virtual Technologies
are subject to the return policies of the original manufacturer. Virtual Technologies will charge a 20% restocking fee above
and beyond any fees that may be levied by the manufacturer of the
product.
Virtual
Technologies will not accept for return any Products that were
specially manufactured for the customer by Virtual Technologies or
any other outside manufacturer.
Non-warranty
Products Return Policy
All
non-warranty repairs are billed on a time and material basis.
Applicable rates may be obtained from a Virtual
Technologies Customer Service Representative. All billable repairs will be returned COD unless prior credit
has been established.
Disclaimer
Virtual
Technologies, Ltd. disclaims all representations and warranties
with respect to the Products, whether expressed, implied or
statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability or
fitness for a particular purpose.
Virtual Technologies, Ltd. shall not be liable under any
circumstances for any special, consequential, incidental, or
exemplary damages, including, but not limited to, damages for lost
profits, loss of use, lost data, or for any sums paid by the
purchaser to third parties, even if Virtual Technologies, Ltd. has
been advised of the possibility of such damages.
The foregoing limitation of liability shall apply whether
any claim is based on principles of contract, warranty, negligence
or other tort, breach or any statutory duty, principles of
indemnity or contribution, the failure of any limited or exclusive
remedy to achieve its essential purpose or otherwise.
